Hedging It is recommended that when planting a hedegrow you should calculate 6 plants per meter in 2 staggered rows. This will give you a stock proof, gap-free hedge provided all of the plants take. X X X X X X
For a new hedge, the ideal plant size should be 40-60cm or bigger, at this size they are well established and should not need any protection unless you have a rabbit problem on the land. When gapping up 30-45cm plants will be ideal. Conifers
